Connecting carbon scientists

The pandemic has disrupted how we share research internationally.
The Carbon Webinar aims to connect carbon scientists with the latest research being undertaken by colleagues around the world.

Framework

Zoom webinars will run every two weeks alternating between two different timings to enable as many people to attend as possible. A 40-minute plenary style talk will be followed by a short discussion based on submitted questions. Recordings will be uploaded to YouTube.

Enabling early career researchers and students

The pandemic is particularly hard for early career researchers and students. Therefore, opportunities for short pre-recorded talks of 10 minutes will be arranged with multiple talks taking place during the hour time slot.

Poster competition

The first online poster session was on the 15th of November. The winners of a student and early career researchers poster competitions will be able to present a 10 minute pre-recorded talk about their work later in the year and have yet to be announced
